Reports: J.C. Jackson won't be back with Florida
It looks like J.C. Jackson won't be a member of the Florida football team in 2015.
Jackson was charged with armed robbery in April after he was allegedly complicit in the robbery of acquaintances. He had visited with two men at the acquaintances' residence and left. After he exited the residence, the two men allegedly robbed the residents.
According to InsideTheGators.com, Jackson was told he was not going to be allowed to be on scholarship while he had the felony charges still unresolved and he has chosen to transfer.
Per Fightin' Gators, the charge is expected to be dropped later this week and Jackson is expected to be able to return to attending classes. However the University Athletic Association has decided he won't be allowed to return to the team.
Jackson was expected to be a main contender to start at cornerback for Florida opposite Vernon Hargreaves, III after he spent time during spring practice working with Florida's top defensive unit. He redshirted in 2014 after he suffered a shoulder injury in the spring. He was a four-star recruit when arrived as a member of the class of 2014.
